Cockatoo Family Medical Practice understands that medical needs do not always happen during regular opening hours. For your peace of mind, we are extending our hours to offer after-hours care. See our FAQs below for more information.

Is there an added cost for after-hours care?

Keeping prices affordable for our patients whilst upholding exceptional care is important for us at Cockatoo Family Medical Practice. For this reason after-hours care will only incur a slight increase in the out-of-pocket charge of $40. Children under 16 and patients holding an aged pension card will continue to be bulk billed for appointments.

How can I book?

Some of our after-hours care is now available to book online through HotDoc. See our 'Bookings' link above to book. However, if there are no available appointments please call the practice during our opening hours on 5968 8653 for further appointment availability and to book urgent appointments.

Is after-hours care only for emergencies?

No, after-hours care is available for any medical concerns that would be addressed in normal opening hours. However, if you have an urgent emergency we recommend attending your local hospital or calling 000.
